The Bespoke Process

Clean Carats is a very, very tiny studio so we are only able to take on a limited number of custom pieces per year.

- We are accepting a limited number of projects for June 2025 completion dates and beyond
Slots are filling up for the rest of the year so please inquire via the Bespoke Inquiries form for a spot on the Bespoke list.


A $200 deposit is required to secure yourself a spot, it is non-refundable and will be subtracted from the final amount for your ring.
Hours of work goes into dreaming up your ring and sourcing in your stones before we’ve even started the making process,
so having a deposit allows us to invest our time and effort into making a ring you'll be absolutely in love with.

  • Let's get to know eachother

    The process starts with discussing and understanding your dreams, budget, needs and timeline.
    Our studio isn’t open to the public but consultations take place just as easily via email.

    A good starting point for the design is something we’ve made before, or an existing design - take a look through our Shop page and the Bespoke Gallery for some inspiration.

  • Getting closer

    Here you will see your ideas start to take shape. We work with you to refine the details established in the first step, into a design you (or your special somebody) will LOVE.

    Working within your budget, we’ll source a range of ethical stones from our tight-knit network of suppliers until we find the perfect one for you.

  • Where the magic happens

    Time for us to go to work at the bench!

    We’ll confirm all the details with you and can now advise a timeline.
    Every Bespoke piece is one-of-a-kind, as it should be, so naturally the time needed for the making process will vary.

    As a guideline, 6 - 10 weeks is typical from this stage to completion.

  • It's all yours

    Upon completion, full payment is required.

    Your special piece will be placed in its box and packaged up safely in our eco packaging, ready to be shipped to you via tracked courier.

    You are now the owner of a truly one-of-a-kind, Clean Carats Bespoke piece, to treasure for years to come!

    Whether it be an engagement ring, a future family heirloom, to celebrate a milestone or achievement, or to remember a loved one, we would be honored to create such a special and meaningful piece for you.
